en route : Montreal

One of my favourite things about being a Photographer is exploring new cities. Late this week, my friends and I decided to take a road trip to Montreal, Quebec. I've always had an interest in visiting, but have never had the chance to.

Our trip started late Friday night, we left Toronto at 10pm. Our plan was to get into Montreal for sunrise. We arrived into Montreal around 4:30am , leaving us plenty of time to find a spot to take some photos. Unfortunately it was quite an overcast morning.

We decided to go to Mount Royal Park, a great lookout spot for the skyline of downtown Montreal. It was very cold and windy, and let's just say I was not very prepared for the cold. None the less, I was quite happy with some of the images I managed to capture.

With it being a very cloudy sunrise, I was a little bummed but it made for some very detailed clouds.

After catching up with some much needed sleep, we continued our day into the heart of the city. I was actually quite surprised on the downtown core. It was a very clean and beautiful city!

Being from Toronto, I'm used to seeing 70+ floor buildings. Montreal is a much smaller city, but that didn't stop me from getting on a roof.

I was told by a few people that checking out Old Montreal is a must. I've always had interest in photographing old architecture. The small details in some of the buildings were truly amazing.

Montreal is a city that I would love to visit again, as I did not see as much as I would have liked. All I want to do is travel and see the world.

Stay tuned for more!
